Ryukyu Breeze

This illustration was created for the “2-Hour DTM Challenge” I joined late at night.
The theme was “a song using the Ryukyu scale.”
The illustration shows a cockatiel lounging on a rush-grass pillow.
“Listening to those Okinawan-sounding notes makes me feel like I’m relaxing on a sandy beach… Hmm… this pillow is kind of prickly. 💨”
The breeze looks like a little spiral of wind, but I wonder if our cockatiel still managed to enjoy a little taste of Okinawa.
I created the music with shamisen, flute, and the sound of ocean waves to give it an Okinawan feel.
