A Little Chick’s Detour

A two-hour late-night poetry session
Theme: “Taking a Detour”

On the way home
I want to be
a little closer to the sky,
so just a little longer,
I’ll take a detour
through autumn.

I composed the music with piano and recorder to capture the feeling of a little detour at dusk.
