This illustration shows a budgerigar welcoming the spring Higan season.
When we think of Higan, we think of red spider lilies.
But since they only bloom in autumn,
perhaps spring Higan is more about ohagi than flowers.
I created this piece with a slightly wistful Japanese atmosphere,
using synth pads and the ryuteki flute.
