The concept of this series is a cockatiel enjoying the Obon holiday.
In this illustration, Okame gazes up at the summer sky now that the evening air has finally cooled.
“Looks delicious…
As the evening deepens, cotton candy…
I just had to turn it into a little poem.”
It really does look like a deep purple sunset—almost like a scoop of purple ice cream.
I created this piece as a piano solo, gradually capturing the quiet, deepening atmosphere of Obon.
