July 5 is Edo Kiriko day, named after one of the representative patterns of Edo Kiriko, “Nanako (fish).
The illustration shows a cockatiel playing hide-and-seek behind an Edo-kiriko glass.
I also composed a song inspired by this illustration, using shakuhachi and piano in a blend of Japanese and Western styles.
