It is said that there are over 400 different names for rain in Japanese.
For autumn, there are terms like akisame (autumn rain), reiu (cold rain), kirisame (drizzle),
akishimeri (autumn dampness), and shūrin (autumn continuous rain), among others.
The illustration depicts a little chick being rained on by a silent November rain.
I used mallets and the shakuhachi to create the atmosphere of a gentle, drizzling rain.
