Waning Gibbous Story

This illustration was made during a late-night 2-hour DTM session.
The theme was ‘a song inspired by an autumn night.’
The illustration features a budgerigar leisurely enjoying moon-viewing.
Tonight is the 6th day after the full moon, known as the ‘Late-Waiting Moon’ (Fukemachizuki).
‘Fukemachi’ means waiting for the late hours, and as the name suggests, it’s the moon that rises late at night.
I composed this piece with piano and ryūteki, capturing the calm atmosphere of an autumn night.
