7/3 was Shichimi[Nanami] Day.
The illustration shows Okame-san enjoying a bowl of Okame Soba.
“Okame-san prefers Ichimi over Shichimi 🌶 She puts it on both soba and pizza♪”
It seems birds don’t have capsaicin receptors, so they can’t taste the spiciness of chili peppers 🐥
I made this with shamisen and flute in the style of a Shichimi Togarashi commercial (if such a thing exists).

By the way, according to S&B, to avoid confusion with the pronunciation of Ichimi, Shichimi is labeled and sold as ‘Nanami’ overseas 🌶
