This is an illustration created during the “Late-Night 2-Hour DTM” challenge.
The theme was “a song inspired by the shamisen.”
The illustration features a normal-colored cockatiel bringing a golden microphone, ready to perform rakugo.
It seems like the cockatiel was so impressed by rakugo they heard for the first time that they decided to try performing it themselves!
I composed the music with shamisen, wadaiko (Japanese drums), and shakuhachi to create a lively yose (traditional Japanese performance hall) atmosphere.
